On Sunday 14th July 2024, AKW returned to Walton Hall & Gardens in Warrington for the second time to sponsor and exhibit at the 33rd annual Disability Awareness Day (DAD).
Organised by Warrington Disability Partnership, DAD has been held since 1992 and is the world’s largest, not for profit, voluntary-led disability exhibition which celebrates the abilities of the disabled community, bringing together families and individuals, businesses and charities in one enormous, tented village in Cheshire.
Despite the predictable July rain, thousands turned up to take part in a range of inclusive sports activities, enjoy accessible performances from a range of musicians and dancers, meet and chat to people from across the country representing various businesses and charities, and most importantly – have fun.
AKW are proud to support Dave Thompson MBE and the amazing team at Warrington Disability Partnership, and were thrilled to sponsor and attend DAD for a second year with over 200 other exhibitors. Our hook-a-duck challenge went down a treat with children and adults alike, with our famous red rubber ducks as popular as ever.
