A traditional metal pipefitting used to couple together pipes. There are 3 elements to a compression fitting: a nut, ring (olive) and body. These work together to give a watertight connection, when fitted correctly. This simple mechanism makes it quick and easy for installers to connect or disconnect fittings.
+ Ease of installation
+ Available in packs of 5
+ Watertight
+ The nut fitting enables installer to join copper pipe by mechanical means.
+ Heat free installation system
Joint can be taken apart and remade without affecting their performance
Possibly some spares to leave in toolbox for future installations
Closely sealed, fastened and fitted so that no water passes through, reducing leaks and spillages in comparison to threaded fittings
To make the joint, the tube and fitting are assembled and the compression nut tightened with a spanner. The compression ring compresses onto the pipe, creating an intact mechanical joint
No hot works permits are required and joints can be made where it would otherwise involve dangerous processes
