Important Safety Upgrade for Your Rise and Fall Toilet Unit

As a valued user of the AKW Rise & Fall Toilet, your safety and satisfaction are top priorities. We are writing to inform you of a new safety feature available for the unit.

Why We’re Contacting You

As part of our ongoing commitment to product safety and quality, we are offering to install a safety cut-out pad beneath the toilet unit, which will automatically stop it from lowering if it detects something underneath it. We attach a photographic image showing the unit with the pad installed.

This safety feature has been designed to prevent any potential crushing and associated injury if an object or body part is underneath the unit while it is being lowered.

We would like to reassure you that we have not had any reports of crushing or injury associated with the product, but our internal quality procedures have identified that this is possible without the use of the safety pad.

Your Options

We strongly recommend the installation of this safety pad to ensure your continued safety.
If you do not arrange or agree to have the pad installed, you will be deemed to understand and accept the potential risks associated with not having this additional safety measure in place, as set out in this warning notice.

How to Proceed

If you would like to have the safety cut-out pad installed, please provide us with your contact details (this may require forwarding onto the end user). We will then make contact to arrange a convenient time for our team to visit and fit the safety pad.

If you decide not to have the safety pad fitted, please complete and return the section below to confirm that you understand and accept the associated risks, as set out in this warning notice:

If you fail to sign and return the acknowledgement above, by the continued use of the Rise & Fall unit without the safety pad, you will be deemed to understand and accept the potential risks associated with not having the safety pad installed.
