AKW’s dedicated transport provider, XPO Logistics, provides quarterly updates on carbon emissions savings made as a result of using electric vehicles to deliver AKW products.
XPO aims to support AKW with measuring, reducing and communicating their carbon impact, so they can support us with our own de-carbonisation journey. In Q1 of 2024, 1,410 of AKW parcels were delivered to customers using all-electric vehicles, this equates to 17.9% of total parcels and resulted in a saving of 389kg of CO2.
XPO are continuing to invest in its all-electric delivery fleet, which is now over 32% of its final mile delivery fleet.
