AKW Easter Bunny Delivers for a Fourth Year

For the fourth year running, colleagues from across AKW and DLP have generously donated 326 Easter eggs to a variety of local good causes, including children’s charities and care homes.

Teams based at AKW offices in Droitwich Spa collected 128 eggs, which prior to the Easter bank holiday weekend, colleagues delivered to:

+ Nineveh Ridge Care Farm in Kidderminster, a non-profit Social Enterprise offering a range of engaging indoor and outdoor activities including animal care, gardening, music, woodwork and arts and crafts

+ Worcester Snoezelen, a leisure therapy centre offering a range of person-centred multisensory activities that empower, bring joy, and help members make choices and communicate through alternative means

+ New Hope Children’s Charity who provide support and respite services for families with children who are living with complex healthcare needs in Worcester

+ Westmead Residential Care Home in Droitwich Spa which specialises in delivering expert care for residents living with dementia

Colleagues from AKW office in Middlewich, Cheshire returned to the children’s ward at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, where they donated 78 eggs to the excited young patients and staff.

A further 50 eggs, which were collected by the Middlewich production team, were donated to Acorn Hollow Care Home in Northwich, who offer residential and nursing care to over 40 residents.

DLP donated 70 eggs to the Isle of Man foodbank, the only foodbank on the island, who have been offering local vulnerable residents access to donations, crisis support, and guidance since 2013.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who kindly contributed to this year’s Easter Egg appeal. Since 2022 we’ve donated over 1,100 chocolate treats to 15 fantastic charities, care providers and hospitals, and we couldn’t be prouder of our colleagues who year after year show up to support our local communities.
